Quentin Tarantino Discusses Possibilities for KILL BILL 3

I never know what Quentin Tarantino is doing. He could be writing a novel, or teasing the internet about a Reservoir Dogs remake. We just never know. This latest bit of news is mildly interesting though. Tarantino is currently making the rounds doing promotion for the aforementioned novel – Once Upon a Time in Hollywood novelization, for the curious – and stopped by Joe Rogan’s podcast, where they talked about his ideas for a sequel to Kill Bill.

Synopsis:
A former assassin, known simply as The Bride (Uma Thurman), wakes from a coma four years after her jealous ex-lover Bill (David Carradine) attempts to murder her on her wedding day. Fueled by an insatiable desire for revenge, she vows to get even with every person who contributed to the loss of herĀ unborn child, her entire wedding party, and four years of her life. After devising a hit list, The Bride sets off on her quest, enduring unspeakable injury and unscrupulous enemies.

“I think it’s just revisiting the characters twenty years later and just imagining the Bride and her daughter, BB, having 20 years of peace, and then that peace is shattered. And now the Bride and BB are on the run and just the idea of being able to cast Uma and cast her daughter in the thing would be fucking exciting.”

The daughter Tarantino is referring to is Maya Hawke, who made a big splash in the third season of Stranger Things as Robin, the snarky ice cream-slinger at the StarCourt Mall. She’s been in a few things, and I was super surprised when I found out she was Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke’s daughter. I’m supposed to keep up on this kind of thing! The Kill Bill movies seemed to end on a high note. The Bride (Thurman) had successfully killed Bill. Tarantino doesn’t see it that way, because of course he doesn’t.

Elle Driver is still out there, Sophie Fatale got her arm cut off, but she’s still out there. They all got Bill’s money. Actually, Gogo had a twin sister Shiaki and so her twin sister could show up.”

Quentin Tarantino is prone to flights of fancy and he seems to love to talk about movies he’ll never make. As far as anyone knows, Kill Bill 3 isn’t happening. Tarantino is adamant that his next movie will be his last. We’ll see how that pans out.

Maya Hawke as The Bride’s daughter? Wild. Join the conversation in the comments and on Instagram and Twitter @DreadCentral. Also, we’re on Facebook. I’m Jans. I write news. Tell me your favorite Quentin Tarantino fact (not that one) on Twitter @HorrorPlayed.
