Megan Fox Would Love to See a TV Series Sequel to JENNIFER’S BODY
Jennifer’s Body received mixed reviews upon its release in 2009. In the years since, the film (directed by Karyn Kusama from a script penned by Diablo Cody) has been re-evaluated and praised as a feminist revenge masterpiece. The film stars Megan Fox as the titular Jennifer and Amanda Seyfried as her best friend, Needy.

Synopsis:
When a demon takes possession of her, high-school hottie Jennifer (Megan Fox) turns a hungry eye on guys who never stood a chance with her before. While evil Jennifer satisfies her appetite for human flesh with the school’s male population, her nerdy friend, Needy (Amanda Seyfried), learns what’s happening and vows to put an end to the carnage.
Now, in a new interview with The Washington Post, Fox is expressing a desire to see Jennifer’s Body resurrected. Here’s what she told them:
“I don’t think [Jennifer’s Body is] a hard movie to make a sequel to. I mean, they should make it into a TV series. That would be cool.”

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and had a lackluster performance at the box office, snagging $6.8M opening weekend. While it received mixed reviews, it has been appreciated as a feminist horror film and a cult classic.

Rated R for sexuality, bloody violence, language, and brief drug use, the film sports a 45% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Jennifer’s Body features occasionally clever dialogue, but its horror/comedy premise ultimately fails to be consistently funny or scary enough to satisfy.
