Sheri Moon Zombie Gives THE MUNSTERS Movie Status Update
While the film doesn’t even have an IMDB page yet, most people are assuming that Rob Zombie will cast his wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, as the lead in his upcoming The Munsters movie reboot. Whatever her role will be, she’s definitely plugged into her husband’s project and recently offered a status update.
When we first reported on the film, rumors suggested the film had already gone into production last May. Not true, says Moon Zombie.
“Seeing folks ask when a trailer is coming out,” Moon Zombie told her Facebook followers before announcing: “The film is in pre-production, currently being location scouted so nothing to show for a while yet.” This makes sense to us, as we recently reported on Mr. Zombie’s scouting endeavors (link below).

Sheri Moon Zombie has reportedly been cast as Lily Munster, while Jeff Daniel Phillips (The Lords of Salem, 3 from Hell) will play Herman. Daniel Roebuck and Richard Brake have also been cast in undisclosed roles along with Jorge Garcia (Lost) and Cassandra Peterson (Elvira, Mistress of the Dark).
The original Munsters featured Fred Gwynne as Herman, Yvonne De Carlo as Lily, Al Lewis as Grandpa, Butch Patrick as Eddie, and Pat Priest and Beverly Owen as Marilyn. Mel Blanc and Bob Hastings voiced The Raven. NBC tried to revive it back in 2012 with Bryan Fuller’s Mockingbird Lane with Jerry O’Connell and Portia de Rossi. But it never happened.
