Horror comedies, when done right, can be immensely entertaining. The only problem is the genre has had way more than its share of comedic misfires. Can Sony Pictures’ The Kitchen Sink get it right? Casting news has just come in!
According to THR both Mackenzie Davis (Breathe In, Smashed) and Nicholas Braun (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Red State) are in talks to star in Sony’s upcoming horror comedy The Kitchen Sink. The film, which is in the vein of Sony’s hit Zombieland, revolves around a pair of teens who form an unlikely alliance with vampires and zombies in order to take on an army of invading aliens. Robbie Pickering (Natural Selection) will direct from an Oren Uziel screenplay.
Production is slated to begin in the summer.
