Jordan Peele Reveals First Poster For Horror Film NOPE
Grab your umbrella—it’s about to rain down some terror. Academy Award winner Jordan Peele has taken to social media to share the teaser poster for his next horror film Nope.
The one-sheet features a strangely shaped cloud hovering menacingly over an idyllic little town. It’s hard to gauge what it all means, but we’ve got some brazen speculation.
But first, check out this poster:
I mean, it’s gotta be aliens right? Jordan Peele’s name sits up in the night sky (or outer space) header of the image. That’s gotta mean something … right?
Moreover, the cast for Nope currently consists of Keke Palmer (Scream Queens), Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out), and Steven Yeun (Minari). I can’t wait to see Keke Palmer back in the horror sphere after her memorable performance in Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens.
Alien terror or not, we’re excited to see what Jordan Peele has got to offer next. The new master of horror has already given us numerous classic titles in recent years including Us, The Twilight Zone, Lovecraft Country and the Oscar-winning Get Out.
Next up for Peele will be Monekypaw’s reboot of Candyman out this summer. Candyman is directed by Nia DaCosta and has built up considerable hype since the first trailer dropped over a year ago.
Will Nope follow in the footsteps of Get Out and Us by becoming one of the talked-about horror titles of 2022? It’s too early to tell. But my money is on yes.
Universal currently has Peele’s new film set for July 22, 2022
