WATCH: THE LEGACY OF CHUCKY Featurette Goes In For The Kill

Chucky fans, rejoice! The upcoming SYFY series has dropped a mini-documentary about the tv show. Discover how the show fits in with Chucky’s gory legacy.

The featurette is full of easter eggs teases and interviews with the cast and creatives behind the new show. Everyone involved with the upcoming series gets in front of the camera to share their experience with your favorite Good Guy.

Check it out:

Chucky synopsis:

An idyllic American town is thrown into chaos after a vintage ‘Good Guy’ doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders. Now they begin to expose the town’s deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets. Meanwhile, friends and foes from Chucky’s past creep back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

Subsequently, fresh faces appearing in the Chucky series are Zackary Arthur (Transparent), Lexa Doig (Jason X) and Devon Sawa (Final Destination). In addition, returning franchise favorites include Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, and Brad Dourif (who provides the voice of Chucky).

We’re psyched that Chucky is honouring the queer roots of the series by writing the lead as a gay teen. Queer visibility in horror is a great thing, so hats off to creator Don Mancini who keeps giving us excellent killer doll content.

Chucky premieres on SYFY and USA on October 12th and we are counting down the goddamn days.

Lastly, are you as excited about the new show as I am? Do you have reservations about a legacy franchise hitting the small screen?
