Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival is gearing up for its 2013 event and looking for your help. Graphic artist Donald Caron will be designing this year’s festival poster, and if you submit the winning concept, you’re going to Fantasia for free!

That’s right; you don’t have to create anything – just come up with a poster idea. You can submit your concept by emailing Fantasia 2013 with your name and concept idea. For more information visit the official Fantasia Film Festival website .

Submit a Concept for Fantasia's 2013 Poster Art; Winner Will Receive VIP Passes

From the Press Release
Do you have an idea for our 2013 art that you’re itching to share? It just may come to life! Pop our sprockets with a great concept, and you could win two VIP passes that will get you into every screening at next summer’s festival!

The winning concept will be executed by celebrated graphic artist Donald Caron, painter of a number of key Fantasia posters since 1998. Samples of his work can be seen at the Donald Caron website.

We don’t want to constrain your ideas so the only guideline we’ll give is that you should keep in mind that this art would appear in all manner of public spaces, from bus shelters to newspaper ads, so the imagery can’t be too explicit. That’s it. Go wild! The winner and artwork will be announced within the launch of the 2013 edition. The submission deadline is March 1, 2013. The 17th edition of the Fantasia International Film Festival will occur from July 18 to August 6, 2013 in Montreal.
