Matthew Edison stars as Cameron Coleman, anchor of the VNN Seven on 7 segments. Episodes of VNN will come out on the 7th of every month, featuring seven news stories and one commercial. The episodes will plant more seeds for season 3 as they progress, and Edison as Cameron Coleman will also be seen in The Boys Season 3.
Miles Gaston Villanueva will portray the new supe Supersonic. Republic World explains:
Supersonic used to go by the name “Drummer Boy,” in the past. Drummer Boy is a character from the comics who was the leader of a supe team called Young Americans. Even more interesting is the fact, that Erin Moriarty’s Starlight was a part of this team, before she became one of the Seven.
The second season of The Boys doubled Season 1’s worldwide viewership in just two weeks. So Amazon has fast-tracked a spinoff series set at a college exclusively for superheroes. Described as an irreverent and R-rated, the series will explore the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games – with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys, the spin-off is written and executive produced by Craig Rosenberg who will serve as showrunner while Eric Kripke and Seth Rogen executive produce with Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, and Pavun Shetty.
We still don’t have a premiere date to announce for The Boys Season 3, but we’ll keep you posted. Stay tuned and check back often!
