Check it out:
The original The Munsters series lasted for two seasons on NBC back in 1964. While the original run of the franchise was short-lived, it went on to produce countless television specials and the 1981 spin-off The Munsters Today.
Zombie’s latest take on The Munsters will also mark the first film in the franchise since Munsters, Go Home! In 1966.
The original cast of The Munsters featured Fred Gwynne, Yvonne de Carlo, Beverly Owen, Butch Patrick and Al Lewis as Grandpa Munster. Together the group played the average nuclear American family. Except for the fact that they were literal monsters!
Synopsis from the 1964 series:
A family of friendly monsters have misadventures, never quite understanding why people react to them so strangely.
Lastly, The Munsters will likely head to theatres and streamer Peacock sometime in 2022. There are lots of rumours about the upcoming film online, so keep an eye on Dread Central for the best information as it rolls in.
