EFM 2013: An Adaptation of Graphic Novel The Sword on its Way from Lakeshore

More news is coming out of Berlin’s EFM as Lakeshore Entertainment, on the lookout for a new franchise along the lines of Underworld, has picked up adaptation rights to the graphic novel series The Sword, written by Jonathan and Joshua Luna.
Per THR, Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi of Lakeshore will produce the feature film version of The Sword, which is comprised of four volumes (Fire, Water, Earth, and Air) published by Image Comics.
The story follows Dara Brighton, a young paraplegic whose family is brutally murdered by a mysterious trio. Dara escapes and discovers a magical sword that allows her to walk again and grants her physical powers. With her new weapon, she sets off to enact revenge on the assassins.
