EFM 2013: Ben Wheatley Swaps Bodies with Whitaker More news is coming out of the European Film Market as Ben Wheatley (Kill List, Sightseers) has added another project to his ever growing slate. Next up, the man is looking to swap bodies for a flick called Whitaker.

Wheatley will be serving as producer while short film director Jim Hosking will be making his feature debut on this flick, which deals with a maverick scientist who discovers a way to swap bodies with unwitting victims, leading to terrifying consequences. The Salt Company will be handling the sales. The film is now casting and is hoping to shoot this summer.

Synopsis
Whitaker has found a way to transfer his mind into a younger man’s body, which he uses to seduce a nurse at the hospital where he “borrows” new bodies for his experiments. Intoxicated by success and newfound vigor, he fails to note that each time he transfers, he leaves a fragment of his psyche behind in the host. This fragment starts to grow into a new personality: raw, curious, physically stronger, and entirely lacking in compassion or moral compass. Soon Whitaker finds himself in a battle to the death with… himself.
