‘The Munsters’: Rob Zombie Shares Set Construction Update, Says “Mockingbird Lane Lives Again”
Last time Rob Zombie shared some shots from The Munsters‘ set, we’d only seen the skeleton of its iconic 1313 Mockingbird Lane house. Now, Zombie’s new photos, shared today on Instagram, show how far the Gothic Victorian mansion has come.
On location in Hungary, Zombie said of the haunt-in-progress, “It’s a beautiful day in Budapest and good old Mockingbird Lane is coming along perfectly. Who wouldn’t want to live here?”
Here’s how it’s shaping up:
Previously, we noted in reports that The Munsters‘ crew is committed to a pretty faithful recreation of the mansion seen in the original 1960s show. (Once that jagged vampire-bat weathervane is perched atop the roof, then we’ll know this thing is truly complete.)

Several reports have also suggested that Sheri Moon Zombie and Jeff Daniel Phillips will be playing Lily and Herman Munster in this reboot, alongside cast members Richard Brake, Dan Roebuck, Jorge Garcia, and Cassandra (Elvira) Peterson. Zombie has yet to confirm this himself, though.
In the meantime, we have gotten glimpses of the costumes, make-up, and character concepts that’ve been cooked up for the production.
