‘Slumber Party Massacre’: Gory New Trailer For SYFY’s Reboot Remembers The Drill
And just when we thought socializing with small groups in the woods was a safe activity again. SYFY’S incoming reboot of Slumber Party Massacre has begun spinning the internet into a tizzy with brand new bloody promos. And boy, oh boy, does this one look fun…
Billed as a new contemporary reimagining of the 1982 slasher cult classic, this power tool-heavy reboot is just in time for Halloween! Just like in the original series, a slumber party turns into a bloodbath as a psychotic serial killer wielding a power drill disrupts the fun.
The first movie was helmed by Amy Holden Jones and spawned a trilogy of films, as well as a pair of spinoff franchises: Sorority House Massacre and Cheerleader Massacre. They’re all 100% worth your time if you haven’t checked them out.

The new film features Hannah Gonera, Frances Sholto-Douglas, Mila Rayne, Alex McGregor, Reze-Tiana Wessels, and Michael Lawrence Potter.
Slumber Party Massacre is produced by Shout! Studios and Blue Ice Pictures and executive produced and directed by Danishka Esterhazy (The Banana Splits Movie/ SYFY’s SurrealEstate). Suzanne Keilly (Ash vs Evil Dead) wrote and Brent Haynes, Bob Emmer, Garson Foos and Jordan Fields executive produce.
The gory Halloween event recently had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest, and initial reviews have been very positive. This isn’t surprising as Suzanne Keilly and Danishka Esterhazy have both proven themselves as exciting and edgy storytellers in the genre ecosystem. If the above teaser trailer and promo art are any indications, SYFY’s Slumber Party Massacre looks like a brutally self-aware romp in the woods.
