‘Chucky’: Jennifer Tilly’s Tiffany Is Now Back With A Vengeance

Sorry Jack, Chucky’s back! And he’s bringing a friend along for the ride. Today sees the first episode drop from Don Mancini x SYFY’s Chucky series, which we recently enjoyed. Now, co-star Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky) shares some words of wisdom about the new series (courtesy of UPI).

Tilly had kind words for co-conspirator and longtime friend Don Mancini, who has been writing, producing and directing the Child’s Play series since 1988. The horror icon also expressed her gratitude for the roles Mancini has offered her over the past decade, sparing her from the usual sexist, age-inappropriate “grandma” parts she gets offered.

“I’m making out with men. Making out with women. I’m being really mean to small kids. Every once in a while, I kill somebody. I’ve got the cleavage. I’ve got the five-inch-high heels. I love my life!,” Tilly shared with an audience at this year’s ComicCon.

As it turns out, it was never a question about if the star would return. She was dead-ready to wear the Tiffany mantle yet again, five years since the last time the character made a cameo appearance in Cult of Chucky.

When asked if she knew she’d be interested in returning, her answer was a definite yes. “A little room under the stairs, please, sir,” she joked, a little self-deprecating.

When asked about her character’s dynamic with the series protagonist Jake, Tilly had some very Tiffany-esque feedback.

She describes the teenage Jake as “so hot, so sensitive, so troubled” before describing longtime character Andy as “a sweet little kid” who is now a “crazy degenerate.”

“You’re going to be seeing a lot of both of these boys in the near future,” Tilly teased.

The new series picks up “after a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”

Fresh faces appearing in the Chucky series are Zackary Arthur (Transparent), Lexa Doig (Jason X) and Devon Sawa (Final Destination). In addition, returning franchise favorites include Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, and Brad Dourif (who provides the voice of Chucky).
