‘Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City’ Reveals Gruesome New Nightmare Trailer [Watch]

Oh damn. The new trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City has arrived and it’s nasty, mean, and full of child-eating monsters.

The reboot of the Resident Evil film franchise is helmed by Johannes Roberts and has no known connection to the Paul W.S Anderson film series. In fact, this little adaptation seems to be a whole lot more faithful to the original game, and I live.

This gory, messed-up trailer is chock-full of disturbing creatures, violence and things that go bump-in-the-night. If the previous trailer didn’t catch your attention, give this one a shot. It looks fun as hell, and dare I say… scary?

The new footage is also stuffed full of familiar faces and creatures fans of the game will immediately recognize. The Licker is here, so get into it!

Director Johannes Roberts is starting to accumulate an impressive horror resume, recently bringing us The Strangers: Prey at Night and 47 Meters Down. Personally, I’m a fan of both titles, so I’m curious to see how he tackles Umbrellatown.

Check out the nightmare Resident Evil trailer now:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Returning to the origins of the massively popular Resident Evil franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games to life for a whole new generation of fans. In Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

Kaya Scodelario now stars in the film as the leather-jacket-clad Claire Redfield. Robbie Amell is also cast as Claire’s brother, Chris Redfield. Hannah John-Kamen takes on Jill Valentine, with Avan Jogia playing Leon Kennedy.

Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City comes exclusively to theatres on November 24.
