We’re not sure if this is a good thing or a sign that the show’s in trouble, but The CW just announced that they are moving “Cult” immediately from Tuesday to Friday night. Read on for the details.
From the Press Release:
“CULT” will move to its new night on Friday, March 8 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), as investigative journalist Jeff Sefton (Matt Davis) searches for his missing brother and uncovers the dark underworld of the TV show “Cult” and its rabid fans. The series also stars Jessica Lucas as Skye Yarrow, Alona Tal as Kelly Collins, and Robert Knepper as Billy Grimm.
Encore episodes of CW series will take over the show’s Tuesday, 9:00-10:00 p.m., timeslot, beginning with “Beauty and the Beast” on March 5.
“CULT” is from Fake Empire and Rockne S. O’Bannon Television in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, with executive producers Rockne S. O’Bannon (“Farscape,” “V”), Josh Schwartz (“Chuck,” “Gossip Girl”), Stephanie Savage (“Hart of Dixie,” “Gossip Girl”), and Len Goldstein (“Hart of Dixie”).
“Cult” Episode 1.03 – “Being Billy” (airs 3/8/13, 9-10 pm)
A DANGEROUS GAME OF ROLE-PLAYING — Jeff (Matt Davis) finds a surprise visitor in Nate’s apartment who tells him about a dangerous on-campus game that Nate had been hosting known as “Being Billy,” which involves role-playing scenes from past “Cult” episodes. Jeff and Skye (Jessica Lucas) follow clues that might explain the next scene the players will try to recreate.
Meanwhile E.J. (guest star Stacey Farber, “Degrassi: The Next Generation”) searches Nate’s laptop and finds that he’s been active online and sent a cryptic email to a hidden recipient list. On the television show Kelly (Alona Tal) confronts Billy (Robert Knepper).
Jim Conway directed the episode written by Megan Martin.
