Back in September reports were coming in that Harry Potter‘s Daniel Radcliffe was in negotiations to star in Fox’s new take on the classic tale of Frankenstein as Igor the Hunchback. Today the ink is all but dry on the contract.
Variety is reporting that Radcliffe is now in final negotiations for the role in Paul McGuigan’s revisionist take on the classic tale. The film is in the works at Twentieth Century Fox. McGuigan signed on to direct the film for Fox and producers Davis Entertainment.
Based on a script by Max Landis (Chronicle), this adaptation of Mary Shelley’s novel of the same name puts a sci-fi take on this classic story about a creature produced through a scientific experiment. The Hunchback is described as pathologically dirty and dressed in old clown’s clothing.
