No one hates it when people disturb a film at the theater more than the folks at Film4 Frightfestin London. In fact, they’re looking for a filmmakers to create indents to run at the beginning of the fest’s films to remind audience members to quiet their phones. Read on!

Go to the official Film4 Frightfest website to get the rules for creating this indent for the festival. There will be five winners selected. The festival will be held in London from August 22-26.

From the Press Release
Film 4 FrightFest (in association with Ne’er Do Well Films) are looking for five shockingly good idents made by FrightFesters from all around the world to enforce that important message to TURN YOUR BLOODY PHONE OFF.

Last year with little help from our filmmaker friends we decided to remind people that using your phone in the cinema could be deadly. The results were frighteningly brilliant: From Can Evrenol’s shocking The Pencil, to Dan Martin’s sublime tribute to Videodrome, most corners of the genre were explored. However this year we are giving you the chance to help us hammer home that message even more.

So what are the rules, I hear you ask?
–The film must be about turning off your mobile phone in the cinema.
–Length of the film must be 25 seconds max (30 Seconds Including Title Card which will be supplied)
Your budget should be no more than £75 (we expect a budget summary, no cheating now!).
–Only films created specifically for the competition can be entered.
–Films can be submitted from now until the closing date of July 15, 2013.

Check out the official Film4 Frightfest website for a full list of rules and details on the contest. Best of luck, Dreaddies!
