Easter Week on The CW: Synopses of Supernatural #8.18 – Freaks and Geeks; The Vampire Diaries #4.18 – American Gothic; and Cult #1.06 – The Good Fight

Hopefully you haven’t given up horror TV for Lent because during the week leading up to Easter, The CW has on tap freaks, geeks, drug-induced hallucinations, and the return of some very familiar faces.
“Supernatural” Episode 8.18 – “Freaks and Geeks” (airs 3/27/13, 9-10 pm)
SAM AND DEAN RUN ACROSS A NEW AND UNUSUAL TEAM OF HUNTERS — Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate some recent vampire kills and are surprised to learn Krissy Chambers (guest star Madison McLaughlin) is involved. They find Krissy (who first appeared on the show in Episode 7.11, “Adventures in Babysitting”) and learn her father was killed and she’s been taken in by a man named Victor (guest star Adrian Hough), who has taken in a group of orphan kids to teach them how to hunt.
Victor is helping the teenagers find the vampires who took their parents so they can get revenge. Sam is intrigued by Victor’s method of giving the teenagers a home life as well as a hunting life, but Dean is suspicious of Victor’s motives.

“The Vampire Diaries” Episode 4.18 – “American Gothic” (airs 3/28/13, 9-10 pm)
RACE FOR THE CURE — Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) take off in search of Katherine (also played by Nina Dobrev) and find themselves in a small town in Pennsylvania, where Elena has a surprising encounter with another old acquaintance: Elijah (guest star Daniel Gillies).
Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are both concerned about Elena’s state of mind and are determined to do what’s best for her, but she makes it clear that helping her will be difficult. Damon is not sure how to react when Stefan reveals his unexpected plan for the future.
Meanwhile, in Mystic Falls, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) receives Caroline’s (Candice Accola) reluctant help and comes to a new understanding of Silas’ powers.

“Cult” Episode 1.06 – “The Good Fight” (airs 3/29/13, 9-10 pm)
OBBA BABATUNDE (“DAWSON’S CREEK,” “THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS) GUEST STARS IN THE EPISODE — Skye (Jessica Lucas) collapses the morning after the “Cult” fan party, suffering a serious reaction to the drug she was slipped. The doctors urge Jeff (Matt Davis) to locate a sample of the drug so they can find a way to reverse its effects in order to save Skye’s life.
Detective Sakelik (guest star Aisha Hinds “Weeds”) arrives at the hospital but refuses to help. Jeff suspects that the drug might be hidden at her place so he takes matters into his own hands.
Meanwhile, inside Skye’s hallucinogenic state, Billy (Robert Knepper), Kelly (Alona Tal), and Skye’s father, Quentin (guest star Obba Babatunde), encourage Skye to give up and stop searching for the truth.
