‘Nope’: First Trailer for Jordan Peele’s New Shocker Gets Drop Date!
In July 2021, Academy Award-winning director Jordan Peele tweeted a poster for his new movie simply titled, Nope. The poster, which you can see below, is deceptively simple when you first look at it. But the longer you stare, the more details start to materialize. Are those cop cars in the distance? Why is that banner of flags going up into the clouds?
Well, we’re going to get an answer soon, because Peele has just announced that the trailer for Nope drops this Sunday, February 13. Who cares about the Super Bowl when there’s a new Jordan Peele movie trailer to watch 10 times in a row! We’re buzzing with excitement at Dread Central, and are counting down the days until it premieres.
We do have a small teaser to tide us over, with a few glimpses into the upcoming film:
There are essentially zero plot details available as of now, but hopefully we’ll get more information on Sunday. Managing editor Josh Korngut speculated Nope is about aliens when the poster first dropped. And with a few shots of the cast looking up into the sky, it’s seeming more and more possible.
We do know the cast thus far, though. Keke Palmer (Scream Queens), Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out), and Steven Yeun (Minari) are set to star in Nope. The cast is already stacked, and it’s exciting to see Peele and Kaluuya working together again.
Nope is slated to hit theaters this July.
