‘The Munsters’: Rob Zombie Shares New Photo Of His Reboot Cast

Rob Zombie may be headed on tour soon, but he still has time to share exciting behind-the-scenes content from the set of The Munsters. Today the shock-rocker turned family-friendly movie director has posted a BTS cast processing photo of his lead actors in between shots on set. The new Instagram post is in black and white, serving us a similar feel to his cast announcement reveal.

Check out the new Munsters post here:

Rob Zombie’s modern cast includes Sherri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, Jeff Daniel Philips as Herman Munster, and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster. The cast of the classic and original The Munsters included Fred Gwynne, Yvonne de Carlo, Beverly Owen, Butch Patrick, and Al Lewis as Grandpa Munster. Together, the group played the average nuclear American family. But twist—they were a clan of monsters!

Back in the 1980s, they resurfaced as The Munsters Today—the longest-running series in the property’s history. But did you know that in 2012 NBC gave a reboot a try with Bryan Fuller at the helm? Fuller is the horror hero behind the Hannibal TV series, among countless other cult television shows. While the pilot for Mockingbird Lane has its fans, it wasn’t enough for the network to push the iteration forward as a series.

Lastly, there’s still no word if The Munsters will head to theaters, or if it’ll be exclusive through the streamer Peacock sometime in 2022.
