‘The Munsters’: Rob Zombie Announces Latest Cast Member To Join His Reboot
The cast of Rob Zombie’s forthcoming reboot of The Munsters continues to rapidly expand. Today the director took to Instagram to share the latest casting announcement for the highly anticipated, family-friendly project. According to Zombie, British character actor Jeremy Wheeler is now an official part of the shock-rockers incoming passion project.
Continuing his trend of sharing news and updates about The Munsters to this Instagram, director Rob Zombie had a few words of excitement to usher in Wheeler. The filmmaker writes: “Ladies and gentlemen I give you some new casting straight from the set of THE MUNSTERS in beautiful downtown Budapest… Jeremy Wheeler aka MR. GATEMAN, Herman’s boss at the one and only GATEMAN, GOODBURY and GRAVES FUNERAL PARLOR. The finest funeral home in all of Mockingbird Heights. Don’t let that winning smile fool you…he’s a grim man for a grim job.”

Other cast members for the reboot includes Sherri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, Jeff Daniel Philips as Herman Munster, and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster. Subsequently, the original cast of The Munsters featured Fred Gwynne, Yvonne de Carlo, Beverly Owen, Butch Patrick, and Al Lewis as Grandpa Munster. Together, the group played the average nuclear American family. But with a twist—they were a clan of monsters!
Lastly, there’s still no word if The Munsters will head to theaters, or if it’ll be exclusive through the streamer Peacock sometime this year.
