There will be “Too Much Horror Business” in Hollywood, CA and Seattle, WA on Saturday, April, 13th! Horror historian and monster maven Kirk Hammett and Mad Monster Magazine proudly present special screenings of 1934’s macabre masterpiece, The Black Cat, starring Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff at the infamous Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA and at the Dark Lodge at the Ark Lodge Cinemas in Columbia City, Seattle. The Black Cat is one of Kirk’s favorite films of all time, and the first to pair his favorite classic horror icons Karloff and Lugosi together! A groundbreaking piece of cinema in all i’s noirish and sinister suspense.
Kirk and Sara Karloff (Boris’ daughter) will appear LIVE in-person for a special intro and Q&A before the film at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Seattle fans can come join like-minded fiends for a LIVE videoconference, audience-interactive Q&A with Kirk Hammett and fiends preceding the screening brought to you by Creepycult. There will also be contests, prizes and exclusive merchandise at BOTH screenings, as well as monster goodies from KVH Toys and copies of Kirk’s critically acclaimed 2012 book Too Much Horror Business. Of course, Mad Monster screening sponsors: Retro Outlaw, London 1888, Creepycult, Monsterpalooza and Days of the Dead will be on deck with cool prizes too!

8:00 PM: Doors open for a Monster Mingle. Grab Monster Merchandise, view original props from the movie The Black Cat, and enjoy other monster activities
9:00 PM: LIVE Q&A with Kirk Hammett and Friends
9:45 PM: Screening Universal Pictures The Black Cat directed by Edgar G. Ulmer, starring Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff.
