‘The Munsters’: Rob Zombie Shares Wholesome New Photos Of His Cast

Rob Zombie is back online today to post two brand new images from the set of The Munsters. The rocker-turned family-friendly filmmaker continues his trend of sharing all sorts of behind-the-scenes goodness.

Today’s latest update includes an adorable-as-hell selfie with Sherri Moon Zombie, Daniel Roebuck, and Jeff Daniel Philips. The trio play Lily Munster, Grandpa Munster, and Herman Munster, respectively. The second photo (scroll right) is a crystal clear camera image of the three performers in action. Things are starting to look really polished down in Mockingbird Heights…

Rob Zombie still seems excited to be there in his status for the Instagram post, saying “Greetings from Budapest! Heading into the weekend with my very own Monster Squad… I mean Munster Squad! Dig these 3 groovy ghoulies!” What a cutie.

We’ve already gathered that the director of the new film is one of the world’s premiere Munsters fans, and we love seeing the spooky legend’s dreams come true. But, when does that trailer drop, hmm? We’re dying to find out.

While the original Munsters only lasted for two seasons, it produced a number of television specials, spin-offs, and features over the past 60 years.

However, this isn’t the first time the franchise has been recalibrated for modern audiences. Back in the 1980s, they resurfaced as The Munsters Today — the longest-running series in the property’s history. In 2012 NBC gave a reboot a try with Bryan Fuller at the helm. While the pilot for Mockingbird Lane has its fans, it wasn’t enough for the network to push the iteration forward as a series.
