Fox 2000 Experiences Misery in a Skyscraper with Highrise

Some quick news has come in about a new flick that’s now nestled comfortably under Fox 2000’s wing. The studio shingle has just optioned the rights to writer Peter Dowling’s (Flight Plan) new thriller Highrise. Read on for the first details.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the logline is being kept under wraps, but it’s described as being in the vein of the Stephen King story and subsequent movie Misery, this time set in a Manhattan skyscraper. Jon Shestack (Air Force One) will produce.
Having lived in New York for thirty plus years, I can attest to the fact that yes, among the city’s enormous skyscrapers there is much misery to be found, including muggers, rapists, murderers, and a wacky mayor who has seen fit to wage war against soda.
