Stephen King’s ‘Salem’s Lot’ Gets New Movie Tie-In Book Cover For Upcoming 2022 Film

A brand new cover for Stephen King’s novel ‘Salem’s Lot has been uploaded to Amazon recently. The new listing is dubbed as a “Movie Tie-In”, which likely indicates the new cover will represent the upcoming theatrical film adaptation’s marketing design. It may even be close to the new film’s poster design, however, no official poster has been released as of yet.

The new book cover features the ‘Salem’s Lot ensemble lost in a deep fog, with the iconic Marsten house not far off in the distance. It’s simple, clean, and gives off a strong IT movie adaptation energy. Considering New Line Cinema is responsible for both big-budget films, and the unprecedented success seen by both IT films, it’s no surprise they’re looking to capitalize on that success in these early marketing materials. Check out the new cover art below.

The creative team behind the new ‘Salem’s Lot is a who’s-who of spooky mainstream Hollywood. Gary Dauberman directs for the second time after making his debut on the surprisingly fun Annabelle Comes Home. He was also the writer behind It: Chapter Two and the Annabelle series. James Wan (Insidious, The Conjuring) will be producing alongside Mark Wolper and Roy Lee. Lee has the honor of producing IT, which currently sits as the highest-grossing horror movie ever made.

Lewis Pullman is the brand new star of 2022’s ‘Salem’s Lot. Son of screen royalty Bill Pullman, Lewis’ was recently seen starring alongside Tom Cruise in the unstoppable blockbuster Mission Impossible: Maverick. Makenzie Leigh, Bill Camp, William Sadler, and Spencer Treat Clark have all officially been sired to spend some time in the vampire-infested town.

Salem’s Lot will hit theatres Stateside on September 9, 2022, by Warner Bros. Pictures. It sees a streamer release via HBO Max 45 days later.

Lastly, how do you feel about this new version of Salem’s Lot? Are you excited to see what Dauberman and friends are cooking up? Let me know on Twitter via @joshkorngut. I’m always down to talk all things, Stephen King!
