According to John Carpenter, ‘Halloween Ends’ Is A Departure From The New Trilogy

Halloween Ends

As October creeps ever closer, we’re all anxiously awaiting a trailer, a teaser, anything for the last film in David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy, Halloween Ends. After the violent ending of Halloween Kills, we all have a lot of questions. The main question: how exactly will this all end?

Now, the Halloween creator himself has given us a crumb of what to expect this October. In an interview with SyFy, John Carpenter said, “Well, it’s Halloween, and it ends. You’ll see it’s a departure from the others. It’s interesting. Dave is a really good director. I love working with him.”

It really is just a crumb, but it’s still exciting to hear words of praise from Carpenter himself. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that the film will be a departure from Green’s previous two films in his trilogy. Earlier this year, Nick Castle, the original Shape, told the crowd at Steel City Con, “It’s absolutely something I don’t think you would have ever guessed in terms of the way it’s going to unroll.”

We don’t know much about the plot of Halloween Ends. All we know for sure is that it takes place four years after the ending of Kills, as confirmed by Green himself.

Halloween Ends is set to hit theaters on October 14.
