Stephen King On Netflix Saving One Of His Favorite Canceled TV Series

Stephen King is back on Twitter to share his feelings on something close to his heart. The horror hero seems to be one of the many fans of the canceled NBC series Manifest, which was axed after only three seasons before being salvaged by Netflix.

Manifest follows the lives of passengers on a plane that disappears and suddenly reappears five years later. The passengers must grapple with the mysteries of what happened to them during those five years and how it has changed their lives forever. The final season of the cult phenomenon is rumoured to debut on Netflix later this year, with an especially long final arc.

Netflix acquired the series in September of 2018, and it wasn’t long before it became a bonafide hit on the streamer, consistently topping their Top 10 List. So, when NBC sank the show in 2021, it was a no-brainer pick-up for the world’s largest streamer. Fans all over the world (including Stephen King) are now waiting with bated breath to see how its mysteries shake out. And, as usual, Stephen King is not staying quiet with his feelings.

See his inside reference to the series below.

The tweet seems to be a kind jest in reference to the show’s occasionally sloppy writing. Inside jokes aside, King seems as excited as we are to finally have some closure on all things Manifest. While there is still no word on a release date for the new season, the fourth chapter is set to consist of a whopping twenty episodes. This mega finale should give fans (including my aunt Michaela) enough content to successfully wrap up all loose ends. Hopefully.

Jeff Rake created Manifest which stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, and Luna Blaise.
