The Incredible Shrinking Man Dated for Blu-rayI’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again… Oh, what a lovely world we live in when the 1977 shlock classic The Incredible Melting Man can see the light of day on Blu-ray. The Scream Factory has finally announced a release date for this gooey sequel!

The SCREAM FACTORY invites collectors to dive into 70s gooey cult classic THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN, debuting on Blu-ray for the first time on July 30, 2013. Featuring “excellent makeup effects” (Leonard Maltin) from six-time Best Makeup Oscar® winner Rick Baker (An American Werewolf In London, Ed Wood, Men In Black) and written and directed by William Sachs (Galaxina, Exterminator 2), The Incredible Melting Man delivers the gelatinous goods while humanizing a character rapidly losing his humanity. In short: It’s bloody good! The Blu-ray is priced to own at $19.97 SRP.

Synopsis
He was once the hero… now he’s the hunted! Colonel Steve West has just returned from an incredible history-making flight to Saturn when he is hospitalized with an ailment that baffles the entire medical community. His flesh is melting, and to stay alive he must consume human flesh and blood. The infected Colonel West escapes from the doctors’ supervision and hides in the surrounding community where he begins to hunt for human flesh. Who can stop the Incredible Melting Man?
