‘The Visitor’ Trailer: Blumhouse Gets Gothic With Scary Psychological Thriller
Knock, knock. Blumhouse Television, Paramount and Epix are soon bringing us The Visitor, an intimate gothic horror story about a man who finds a painting that shares a striking resemblance to his own likeness.
In the film, when Robert and his wife Maia move to her childhood home, he discovers an old portrait of his likeness in the attic – a man referred to only as ‘The Visitor’. Soon he finds himself descending down a frightening rabbit hole in an attempt to discover the true identity of his mysterious doppelgänger, only to realize that every family has its own terrifying secrets.
The Visitor stars Finn Jones, Jessica McNamee, Dane Rhodes, Donna Biscoe. It’s directed by Justin P. Lange and was written by Adam Mason & Simon Boyes. Executive Producers on the project include Bradley Pilz, Greg Gilreath, Adam Hendricks, Jeremy Gold, Chris McCumber, David Grove Churchill Viste, and Jason Blum.
The film hits Digital and On Demand October 7, 2022 before arriving on EPIX this December.
