We have some more news out of the NYC Horror Film Festival coming up this December 1-4th. Today, we have an exclusive look at Candy Land for our readers to clap eyes on.
Written and directed by John Swab Candy Land follows Remy (Olivia Luccardi, It Follows), as she stumbles into the underground of truck stop sex workers and is taken in by a motley group of women who work the local scene.
In this exclusive look at Candy Land, the new thriller from up-and-coming writer/director John Swab, Sherriff Rex (William Baldwin, SLIVER) questions Riley (Eden Brolin, YELLOWSTONE) about her recent discovery of a dead body.
Candy Land will be the opening film of the NYC Horror Film Festival which was founded by Michael J. Hein in 2001. Returning to theatres after a pandemic related hiatus the festival will be featuring a wide slate of programming including 50 films broken into 13 blocks with shorts and Q&A sessions intermingled.
Speaking of mingling, fans and filmmakers alike will be able to enjoy the full bar and menu at the Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas (260 West 23rd Street) during the four-day run of the festival. For those unable to make it in person there will be virtual screenings of the programming made available as well though.
