All The Questions We Have About ‘Yellowjackets’ Season 2

Yellowjackets was renewed for a third season ahead of its March 26 season two premiere. We’re excited because we weren’t sure all of our questions could be answered with just one more season. This Showtime hit series walked into our lives with, so many of our favorites attached and a Mary Poppins-sized bag of secrets. While we’re living for the drama (and Misty-induced trauma) we would like season two to answer some of these burning questions.

What happened to Shauna’s baby she had in the woods?

We know Shauna had her and Jeff’s baby in the woods. To make matters even worse, Misty was the closest thing they had to a medic. We know Shauna, and that baby suffered, but we also have yet to get confirmation that that baby makes it out of the woods. Did the squad eat it, sacrifice it, or…? I’m not judging. I just need to know.

Who are these cannibals eating?

Our one true thing in this Yellowjackets world is that this soccer team chowed down on at least one person. Because we’ve only seen so many of them as adults so far that leaves a lot of possible friend entrees walking around in the flashbacks. Are we going to keep sustaining this tension of who is getting eaten first? Or are we going to see this show put its mouth where its money is? Personally, I thought I was ready, but after what they did to me last season, I don’t know anymore.

We need to know why Taissa eats dirt.

Speaking of finger food, are we going to get to the bottom of Taissa’s habit of eating dirt? Her kid clocked her doing it, so it’s impacting her current life. She acts like it’s a quirky habit, and I was stressed on her behalf. That was before her wife, Simone, found a secret room in their basement filled with a whole lot of “what the actual fuck?!” Simone found the decapitated head of her dog, their son, Sammy’s, doll, and what appears to be a human heart. I’m now stressed for Simone, but I still want to know what’s up with these mud meals. Give this house a whole episode, please.

Who kidnapped Natalie?

With all the chaos going on, we didn’t need another complication. Is this Lottie’s cult at work? Is this somehow Misty’s fault cause everything else is? Does this have something to do with Travis? Did we need another thing to stress us out in this chaotic series? The fact that there are so many ways this group of kidnappers can fit in raises my blood pressure.

What the hell happened to Travis?

Send Tweet because that’s the full thought. Every time we get a new piece of information, it makes everything else even more suspicious. We know Lottie cleared out his bank account in the final episode, so we want to follow that lead. However, whenever we follow any thread we come right back to bupkis. At this point, I would accept that Travis was a figment of my imagination, and I’m the problem. Because what is happening?! While we’re here, where the hell is Travis’s little brother, Javi? Does he make it off Cannibal Island? Or is he one of the main courses? I’m worried about that baby and need answers.

What’s up with Lottie’s cult?

Because Misty is doing the most, we lose sight of the fact that Lottie is on her cult shit. Is this how we’ll get the answers to the supernatural mysteries surrounding all the other mysteries? Is this a separate evil? Why is the symbol also the Yellowjackets symbol? Are we saying organized sports and cults have more in common than we want to admit? Is this the reason for Taissa’s basement of creepy wonders? Did Lottie murder Travis? Or is Travis hanging out in her cult? I need answers, please!

Is anyone ever going to check Misty?

Both past and present versions of this character are out of pocket. Misty moves through the world causing problems and leaving chaos in her wake. While we were worried about the plane crash, cannibalism, and survival, Misty was rising to the top of the list of problems for the rest of the Yellowjackets. We need people to start fighting her on sight. I don’t care if it’s the one day a decade that she’s not the problem. Throw hands now, and ask questions later.

These are some of the things I think about as I lay awake at night. I’m hoping the second season of Yellowjackets answers these questions. Or some of the many questions that I had to omit to stop this list from being a novel. On the bright side, if this upcoming season doesn’t give me answers, then maybe the third season will.
