This Guillermo del Toro “Masterpiece” Continues To Top The Netflix Charts
Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio has been winning hearts since it debuted, and is also winning the Netflix charts. Del Toro recently shared a tweet alerting us that the film is not just on Netflix’s Global Top 10 List. It’s number one for the second week in a row. And we love to see it!
I love this tweet because this is a major accomplishment for a PG stop-motion fantasy/musical. Most of us are also del Toro fans and love to see other people appreciate the legendary filmmaker. I also love this tweet because the screenshot shows a phone at 5% and that is relatable content. I don’t know if his phone, but I’m telling myself it is because it means we have something in common.
Del Toro’s take on the classic Carlo Collodi tale of the fabled wooden boy with a whimsical tour de force finds Pinocchio on an enchanted adventure that transcends worlds and reveals the life-giving power of love.

The movie has been keeping Twitter buzzing since it dropped. Most praising the stunning visuals and talking about the emotional journey it took them on. Even Stephen King had kind words for the film tweeting that it is “Pure Magic.”
