‘Evil Dead Rise’ Trailer Gets Downright Disgusting
The day is finally here: we have received the official Evil Dead Rise trailer and it is positively nauseating. Director Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground) seems to have delivered on his promise of gallons of blood and repulsive kills. If this trailer is to be believed, this film is going to be filthy.

Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, Evil Dead Rise tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

Cronin wasn’t kidding when he teased the sheer amounts of blood in the film via Twitter last year. That cheese-grater moment alone had me covering my eyes already. There will be blood and we cannot wait to see the destruction in store.
Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols, and Nell Fisher star in the film.
Rob Tapert (Ash vs Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) produced Evil Dead Rise. Series creator and horror icon Sam Raimi and cult legend and “Ash” himself, Bruce Campbell, along with John Keville, Macdara Kelleher, Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Romel Adam and Victoria Palmieri serve as executive producers.
Evil Dead Rise comes exclusively to theaters on April 21, 2023.
