Fans Are Saying This Chart-Topping Netflix Slasher Is “What would happen if Japan did Happy Death Day”
This scary movie about teens stuck in a time loop has been dancing on the Netflix charts for two weeks. Now it is sitting at #7 on the Films (Non-English) chart. Our new queen rising this week is Japan’s Re/Member.
In the film, a high school student and her friends are trapped in a time loop by a ghost, and the only way to escape is to find the corpse of the ghost’s previous victim.

Re/Member is based on the manga of the same name by Katsutoshi Murase and Welzard. The movie is directed by Eiichirô Hasumi. It was adapted for film by Harumi Doki. The cast includes Kanna Hashimoto, Gordon Maeda, and Maika Yamamoto.
Re/Member has also had Twitter excited since it hit Netflix last month. Many viewers are obsessed! Quite a few fans are wanting to read the manga the movie is based on. Some are left anxious with questions after enjoying this chaotic ride.
