Today Scream Factory celebrates its one-year anniversary so the label revealed some new goodies for the masses! Check out all the latest here!
First up came this announcement…
We’re so thrilled to be celebrating our 1-year anniversary today that we thought we’d treat you guys and reveal two cult favorites we have planned for Blu-ray releases before the end of this year: 1982’s THE BEAST WITHIN and 1986’s CRAWLSPACE! No details to provide at this time, but more will become clear on them in late summer.
The Beast Within
Directed by Philippe Mora
Starring Ronny Cox, Bibi Besch, Paul Clemens, Don Gordon, and R.G. Armstrong
Eli and Caroline MacCleary are on their honeymoon driving through the middle of nowhere in Mississippi when their car gets a flat. Leaving his wife with the car, Eli hikes off to find a tow truck. While he’s gone, a mysterious creature attacks and rapes Caroline. Upon returning, Eli rushes his wife to the hospital. Seventeen years pass. Caroline bore her rapist’s child and she and Eli have raised the boy, Michael, as their own. But now Michael is suffering some inexplicable health problems his doctor can’t explain. Whatever it is he’s got, it’s genetic.
Crawlspace
Directed by David Schmoeller
Starring Klaus Kinski and Talia Balsam
Gunther seems like a conscientious landlord who looks out for his female tenants. What they don’t know is that he has a crawlspace from where he watches their every intimate move and plans their murders.
Then came the unveiling of the Amityville Trilogy Blu-ray artwork!
Check out the new blood-red key art for our upcoming Blu-ray set of THE AMITYVILLE HORROR TRILOGY designed by artist James Rheem Davis. Films in the set will include The Amityville Horror, Amityville II: The Possession and Amityville 3D (in 2D and Blu-ray 3D presentation for the first time)
This art will be on the slipcase. Although we can’t show you them yet, the plan is to have the original theatrical key art for each of the films on the three separate Blu-ray cases that will be inside of the case. We’ll share those later. Look for more details on extras and exact street date later on this summer.
