The Glory

The top horror series on Netflix for the month of March is the Korean revenge drama, The Glory. The show’s second season bowed on the platform on March 10 and it has been tearing up the charts ever since. In fact, the program placed in the top ten in 79 countries from March 6 through March 12. That’s quite the audience endorsement.

In addition to being the top genre series on the streamer for the month of March, The Glory ranks as the fourth most-watched television show on the platform, overall. And looking through social media reactions (a sampling of which you can scope at the bottom of this very post) it’s abundantly clear that the series has amassed a dedicated, international fanbase. Enamored viewers have been singing the show’s praises on Twitter, with much of the feedback complimenting the casting choices and the series’ compelling storyline. Additionally, the program has scored an IMDb user score of 8.1 out of 10, with 12,000 users weighing in to date.

It’s not just viewers, however, that are praising the series. The show is also a hit with critics. It currently sports an 83% ‘fresh’ rating on the aggregate review site Rotten Tomatoes.

The program stars Song Hye-Kyo, Lee Do-Hyun, Ji-Yeon Lim, Jona Xiao, Aria Song, and Harrison Xu. The Glory was created by Kim Eun-sook and An Gil-ho.

The series follows Moon Dong-Eun (Song Hye-Kyo) who previously dropped out of high school following a brutal attack by a group of bullies. Years later, Moon Dong-Eun returns to her former school as an instructor with revenge on her mind. Those that made her adolescent life a living hell will pay the price for their misdeeds as Moon Dong-Eun exacts her revenge.
