Stephen King Says The #1 Netflix Thriller Is “Ridiculously entertaining”

Stephen King consumes a lot of media, and he’s also never shy about taking to Twitter to let us know what has his attention. This is why we’re not shocked that he is doing the good work of letting us know about a Netflix political thriller series that is the moment.

So what’s the latest series on the King’s desk? Uncle Stephen has been binging The Night Agent. According to his tweet, he seems to be living his best life watching the show too.

Here’s what Stephen King had to say

In the series, low-level FBI agent, Peter Sutherland, works in the basement of the White House manning a phone that never rings–until the night it does–propelling him into a conspiracy that leads all the way to the Oval Office.

The Night Agent is based on a novel of the same name written by Matthew Quirk. It was adapted for television by Shawn Ryan. It stars Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Hong Chau, and D.B. Woodside.

They had me when the cast list included Hong Chau and D.B. Woodside. However, I also think the guy that wrote The Dead Zone might know a thing or two about political thrillers that deserve our attention. So, I will be tuning into this one this weekend.

In addition to getting a shout-out from Stephen King, the show has spent three weeks touring the Netflix Top 10 charts. It only dropped to the #2 seat when Beef hit the streamer last week and did a cultural reset. I can’t wait to see these two shows continue to battle on the charts for my enjoyment next week.

Have you seen The Night Agent on Netflix? Are you as into it as Stephen King? Let me know at @misssharai.
