‘The Picture Of Dorian Gray’ Exclusive Trailer: A Classic Tale Gets A Female-Led Twist

Writer and director Richard John Taylor has provided Dread Central with an exclusive trailer for his upcoming adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray, which was filmed in Italy earlier this year. The atmospheric trailer gives us a glimpse at some of the memorable performances which will be on display, in addition to showing off the stunning Italian landscapes.

You may recall that we last reported on The Picture of Dorian Gray back in February, when we were kindly provided with an exclusive batch of stills. Based on the classic 1890 novel by Oscar Wilde, Taylor’s adaptation of the seminal work of literature stars Leone Kessel as a female iteration of Dorian Gray, who travels to Matera to make her broadway debut as Lady Macbeth. While preparing for her role, Dorian finds herself being seduced by a mysterious young woman named Evie, before noticing that something more sinister might be at play. The supporting cast includes Lizzy Willis, Steve Wraith, Lacey Bond, Triana Terry, and Allison Blair, with legendary cult actress Rula Lenska providing narration. Seeing as The Picture of Dorian Gray is now in post-production, we can expect distributor High Fliers Films to announce a release date in the near future.

Some of Taylor’s previous films include The Krays: Dead Man WalkingVengeanceMuseThe Haunting of Pendle Hill, and The Winter Witch. He is clearly one of the busiest people working in the entertainment industry today, as The Picture of Dorian Gray is just one of several upcoming films he has in development.
