This New Chart-Topping Netflix Thriller Has Fans Passing Out: “The first time I have fainted watching television”

A new Netflix original show is rapidly climbing the charts. This Danish thriller is inspired by a true story and has fans questioning the legal system and its best medical practices. The limited series causing all this conversation and commotion is The Nurse.

About the series:

“One early morning in March 2015, the Danish police received a call from a nurse at Nykøbing Falster Hospital. She suspects her close colleague of deliberately killing patients and fears that it has just happened again. Soon a murder case unfolds like never seen before in Danish legal history. Several co-workers are now telling the police that they also suspect the nurse has poisoned patients, and some even tell that they have been walking around with this suspicion for several years. But why hasn’t anyone responded? And where is the evidence? The Nurse is based on the true story of the Danish nurse, Christina Aistrup Hansen, who was sentenced to 12 years for four counts of attempted murder in 2017.”

The project is based on the book The Nurse: The True Story Behind One of Scandinavia’s Most Notorious Criminal Trials by Kristian Corfixen.

All four episodes hit Netflix on April 27th, and viewers have been obsessed ever since, with some fans even digging deeper into the specifics of the actual case. The series is eliciting many reactions from subscribers, ranging from shock to flat-out fainting.

The Nurse was created and directed by Kasper Barfoed. It stars Josephine Park, Fanny Louise Bernth, Dick Kaysø, Amalie Lindegård, and Peter Zandersen.
