‘Meg 2: The Trench’ Trailer: More Megs More Problems

Meg 2: The Trench is planning to take a bite out of the box office this summer! The long-awaited Jason Statham action-packed water-soaked saga will arrive in theaters this August. 

Warner Brothers released the first trailer today to keep fans from chomping at the bit. The internet reactions have been wild, and people are happy to see many returning actors continuing this battle. 

Official synopsis:  

Dive into uncharted waters with Jason Statham and global action icon Wu Jing as they lead a daring research team on an exploratory dive into the deepest depths of the ocean. Their voyage spirals into chaos when a malevolent mining operation threatens their mission and forces them into a high-stakes battle for survival. Pitted against colossal Megs and relentless environmental plunderers, our heroes must outrun, outsmart, and outswim their merciless predators in a pulse-pounding race against time.

Meg 2: The Trench is directed by Ben Wheatley. It is written by Dean Georgaris, Jon Hoeber, and Erich Hoeber. It stars Jason Statham, Page Kennedy, Cliff Curtis, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Sienna Guillory, Skyler Samuels, and Wu Jing.

The film is a sequel to 2018’s The Meg. The original film followed a group of scientists who find themselves up against the largest marine predator ever to exist.
