The Number 1 Movie On Netflix Is A Jennifer Lopez Thriller “That can’t be slept on”

Some of y’all chose violence this weekend, and it shows. This fast-paced, violent movie hit Netflix on Friday and immediately flew to the #1 spot. The Mother is a brand-new thriller that people can’t get enough of.

Synopsis

A deadly female assassin comes out of hiding to protect the daughter that she gave up years before, while on the run from dangerous men.

The Mother is directed by Niki Caro. The screenplay was written by Misha Green, Andrea Berloff, and Peter Craig. It stars Jennifer Lopez, Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci, and Gael Garcia Bernal. 

The movie landed on Netflix on May 12th, and the Jlo stans hit play immediately. Lots of them are celebrating Lopez’s turn as a deadly assassin. Others are surprised by how much they enjoyed the film.

Another familiar name on this project is Misha Green, who was the creator of Lovecraft Country. Many fans were upset when HBOMax didn’t renew the show for a second season. While The Mother is a different beast, it’s nice to finally know what’s next for Green.
