The psychological horror film Vampire arrives on DVD, Digital Download and Video on Demand August 20 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. A Grand Jury Prize nominee at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, the seductive thriller directed by Iwai Shunji (New York, I Love You) stars Kevin Zegers (TV’s “Gossip Girl”), Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider) and Adelaide Clemens (The Great Gatsby), with Kristin Kreuk (TV’s “Beauty and the Beast”) and Rachael Leigh Cook (TV’s “Perception”). The Vampire DVD will be available for the suggested price of $26.98.
Synopsis
On the surface, Simon (Zegers) is a dedicated teacher, living a normal life. But he has a dark secret – he is a vampire, compelled to drink human blood in order to survive. Using online chat rooms as his hunting grounds, he searches for suicidal young women who satisfy his hunger and ensure his survival.
Non-believers unite in the satirical, irreverent comedy Rapture-Palooza, arriving on Blu-ray Disc (plus Digital UltraViolet), DVD (plus Digital UltraViolet) and Digital Download August 20 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. From the writer of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and the producers of Bad Teacher, the laugh-out-loud film features a hilarious cast including Craig Robinson (TV’s “The Office,” Hot Tub Time Machine), Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect, The Twilight Saga), John Francis Daley (TV’s “Bones” and “Freaks and Geeks”), Rob Corddry (Warm Bodies, Hot Tub Time Machine) and Ana Gasteyer (TV’s “Saturday Night Live,” Mean Girls).
The Blu-ray Disc and DVD include an audio commentary with Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry and Rob Huebel, deleted scenes, a gag reel and a featurette. The Rapture-Palooza Blu-ray Disc and DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $24.99 and $19.99, respectively.
Synopsis
When the apocalypse actually happens and a billion people are raptured to heaven, Lindsey (Kendrick) and her boyfriend Ben (Daley) are left behind in suburban Seattle. Amidst talking locusts, blood rain showers and pot-smoking wraiths, the young couple attempts to live a normal, everyday life. When the Anti-Christ (Robinson) settles down in their neighborhood, things quickly take a turn for the worse, especially after Lindsey finds herself as the object of Satan’s affection. With the help of family, friends and a lawn-mowing zombie, the duo set off to stop the Devil from taking an unwilling bride, and they may just save the world in the process.
