‘Cinderella’s Curse’ — Violent New Horror Film Reworks A Childhood Classic [Exclusive Images]
It’s a damn good time to be a horror fan who is also into fairytales and cartoon characters. ITN, aka the people that gave us Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, are hard at work on their next feature Cinderella’s Curse.
We are all very familiar with Cinderella, her evil step-family, and her habit of leaving shoes at parties. So we are excited to see the story get a gritty makeover. While the plot of this gruesome reimagining is under wraps, we have been given these exclusive photos to obsess over.

Cinderella’s Curse is written by Harry Boxley (Mary Had A Little Lamb). The cast includes Kelly Rian Sanson, Chrissie Wunna, Lauren Budd, Sam Barrett, and Danielle Scott.
Louisa Warren is a producer as well as the director of the project. Warren has many horror movie credits, which include directing all five installments of the Toothfairy franchise.
Filming for Cinderella’s Curse is already underway in the UK. It’s expected to hit theaters later this year. Warren promised, “There are going to be some truly horrific deaths by her hands. And her glass slipper!”
We love to see an unconventional fashion accessory have a purpose. While we can only dream of the glass slipper being used for a few eye-gougings and some light organ removal, we’ll just have to wait and see if we get our violently ever after.

Producer Scott Jeffrey seems to have a whole line-up of animated properties getting bloody live-action remakes in the works. His IMDB lists a number of them in pre-production, including Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare.
