Attend An Early Screening of A24’s ‘Talk to Me’ And Witness The Scariest Movie Of The Year

Are you ready to experience the hottest horror movie of the summer? If you’re feeling brave, A24 and Dread Central are excited to invite you and a guest to an early screening of Talk to Me on Wednesday, July 19th.

In the film, a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand; they become hooked on the new thrill until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.

We caught this terrifying title at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, and we’ve been raving about it ever since. Now it’s your turn to experience the terror before the rest of the world. A24 and Dread Central are joining forces to host a slew of free Talk to Me screenings for horror fans across the country ahead of its wide release!

From Dread Central’s review:

“It’s fun, mean-spirited (in more ways than one), and wholly unpretentious. In a horror landscape that often tries to outthink itself with bloated high concepts, this firecracker of a release is refreshingly straight to the point. The dead stares of malignant ghosts will surprise you with their chilling, lingering gazes … a glimpse into a putrid, hopeless, and shockingly grotesque afterlife.”

And what makes this film even scarier is that it’s actually inspired by a real experience faced by filmmakers and twin brothers Danny and Michael Philppo (the same mad minds behind the viral YouTube channel RackaRacka). When we spoke with these creatives back in January, they disclosed a real-life incident that helped to inspire the horrors seen in their film. To learn more about this disturbing experience, make sure to watch our video interview here:

Sophie Wilde, Miranda Otto, Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird, Otis Dhanji, Zoe Terakes, and Chris Alosio all star in the film, which lands in theaters nationwide on July 28th. Check out the trailer below:
