Hit Streaming Thriller Stephen King Calls “Terrifically Suspenseful” Pauses Production Indefinitely

Production has halted on a sci-fi series Stephen King is obsessed with. According to Collider, actress and producer Rebecca Ferguson confirmed that Silo is now on an indefinite hiatus.

This AppleTV+ hit earned a large following in its first season and was in the process of filming the second season. However, they’ve had to shut it down since the studios forced WGA and SAG to strike instead of paying creatives a living wage.

The show flew under most of our radars until Stephen King started using his platform to tell people how good it is.

Sadly, studios have put so many creatives into this position. It’s a losing situation for everyone including fans, who have to wait and hope their favorites return when things are settled.

Synopsis

“In a ruined and toxic future, thousands live in a giant silo deep underground. After its sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and residents die mysteriously, engineer Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) starts to uncover shocking secrets and the truth about the silo.”

Silo is based on a book series by Hugh Howey. It was adapted for TV by Graham Yost. The series stars Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Robbins, Common, Avi Nash, Harriet Walter, Iain Glen, Rashida Jones, and David Oyelowo.
