The Cast Of ‘Fear the Night’ Are Here To Invade Your Space [Video Exclusive]

What could be scarier than an armed assailant entering your personal space? The breach of our comfort zones and the believability and plausibility of its horrors are why the home invasion subgenre is so damn scary. If you’re brave enough to check out an excellent new break-and-enter chiller from Neil LaBute, you definitely need to watch Fear the Night. Check out my interview with cast members Travis Hammer (Independence Day: Resurgence) and Gia Crovatin (House of Darkness) below.

Dread Central’s Chad Collins recently awarded the film four stars, saying, “Fear the Night is a thrilling, blood-soaked home invasion thriller … The action is compellingly staged, with time stamps as title cards maintaining consistent tension as the night unfurls and the threat grows ever larger. Bouts of humor keep things light, even if the dark shadows of Fear the Night’s desert home no doubt hide the ghosts of home invasions past.”

In Fear the Night, eight women attend a bachelorette party at a remote farmhouse in the California hills. They are interrupted by the arrival of masked intruders who surround the place and begin shooting arrows at the home and the guests. One partygoer—Tess, a military veteran who is fighting her addictions and her difficulty at fitting in with other people—leads the women in making a stand against the attackers as they fight back in an effort to save themselves over the course of a single dark night.

Fear the Night was released last Friday, July 21, in Theaters, on Demand and Digital.

Do you love a good home invasion thriller as much as I do? Let me know Twitter via @joshkorngut. I’m always around to chat about indie horror.

This interview was accomplished prior to the start of the SAG strike.
