The Best Horror Movies Streaming Now on Netflix

Last updated: March 5, 2025

This March is not a great month for horror fans who subscribe to Netflix expecting a ton of new titles. Even for those of us, who stretch the genre umbrella as far as it can go, there is not much hitting the platform. We have a couple returning shows and a few throwback titles, but most of it could be binged in a three-day weekend. However, I did not let that stop me from figuring out the best titles for those still paying for this streamer. I did manage to find five things worth noting, and I hope you enjoy them. If not, maybe the other four genre titles from this tiny list will be more up your alley.

Here are my five picks for this March.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut (dir. Ridley Scott)

A blade runner must track down and destroy four replicants who stole a ship and went to Earth looking for their creator. Most of us have seen this Ridley Scott classic, but not as many have seen the director’s cut. So, I think it is time we do a time warp and revisit this epic 80s sci-fi adventure. How can more time with young Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Edward James Olmos, Daryl Hannah, and Joanna Cassidy be a bad thing? It might be the best 117 minutes spent this month for a few of us. I plan to hit play while it is on Netflix and see how it compares to the cuts I have watched on other streamers and 90s basic cable.

High-rise (dir. Ben Wheatley)

A luxury apartment building descends into chaos as tensions rise between tenants. This movie is based on the 1975 J. G. Ballard novel of the same name. If you missed this odd little gem starring Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Irons, and Sienna Miller, you should hit play while it lives on Netflix this month. This British dystopian thriller is one you have to see to believe. Come to watch Hiddleston dance but stay for the sharp social and political commentary. If anything, High-Rise gets more timely by the second, so it is always a good time to revisit it.

Just One Look: Season 1

A woman’s life unravels after an old photo of her husband and a mysterious stranger surfaces. She soon finds herself trying to protect her kids and at the center of a kidnapping while being forced to confront her past trauma. Netflix loves to drop an international limited series without any marketing. This Polish thriller is one of the newest on a long list of shows that have gotten the same treatment. It sounds like a nice and addictive binge for those looking for our next TV show. Just One Look is based on a Harlan Coben of the same name. So, if you have enjoyed his other works adapted for the small screen this might be of interest to you.

Revelations (dir. Yeon Sang-ho)

A pastor and a haunted detective join forces on a missing persons case that will expose both of their demons. I love a Korean thriller with my oxygen, so this is the crown jewel in Netflix’s lineup this month. This also has me dancing on the edge of my seat because Yeon Sang-ho directed Train to Busan. If he can make zombies on a train a terrifyingly cool and heartbreaking film, he can do anything. So, I will be in front of my TV when Revelations lands on March 21.

Woman of the Dead: Season 2

In a vengeful quest to find out who killed her husband, a woman ends up exposing her small community’s deepest and ugliest secrets. Woman of the Dead is based on a novel of the same name written by Bernhard Aichner. Fans who found the first season compelling can rejoice now that the second season is almost upon us. Netflix has yet to share a new trailer, even though the series returns on March 19. However, I do not see this Austrian thriller’s newest season finding trouble reclaiming its spot in the charts this month.
