Clint Eastwood Is “At his best” In This Intense Netflix Thriller

This political action-thriller recently celebrated its 30th-anniversary last month by finding new fans on Netflix. The Clint Eastwood-led In the Line Of Fire might be a movie some of you might want to check out. Here’s what we know about this 90s moment that saw an iconic John Malkovich villain on the big screen.

“A Secret Service agent is taunted by calls from a would-be killer who has detailed information about the agent – including the fact that he failed to save President John F. Kennedy from assassination. The caller is revealed as an ex-CIA assassin, and the agent, who is investigating a threat to the current president, is determined not to let history repeat itself.”

In the Line Of Fire was directed by Wolfgang Petersen. It was written by Jeff Maguire. It stars Clint Eastwood, John Malkovich, Rene Russo, Dylan McDermott, Gregory Alan Williams, Gary Cole, and the late John Mahoney.

Lots of fans are revisiting this 30-year-old movie while it’s on Netflix. Many of them are Tweeting about some of the funny plot points. Others marveled at how Clint Eastwood’s character was the only Secret Service agent working for the duration of the film.
