The #1 Movie On Hulu Is A “White-Knuckle” Thriller That Has Fans “Sweating”

This 2023 action thriller just landed at the #1 spot on the Hulu charts. The movie is so popular that it has people putting their Starz premium add-on on the streamer to use this week. The movie soaring above the competition this week is Plane. Allow us to give you a crash course with your boarding pass for this flight.  

Rotten Tomatoes Synopsis

“In the white-knuckle action movie Plane, pilot Brodie Torrance (Gerard Butler) saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island — only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter), an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI. To rescue the passengers, Torrance will need Gaspare’s help, and will learn there’s more to Gaspare than meets the eye.”

Plane was directed by Jean-François Richet. It was written by Charles Cumming and J.P. Davis. It stars Gerard Butler, Mike Colter, Tony Goldwyn, Yoson An, and Evan Dane Taylor.

Fans seem to be enjoying the movie. Many are specifically screaming over seeing Tony Goldwyn pop up in this movie after his very long tenure on Scandal.

He even directed Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which was Andrew LaSane's Scarred for Life pick, which is one of Terry's favorite movies. We chat about his long history in cinema; about how he started working with Romero to some insights into Tales from the Darkside. And we discuss his latest work, the novel Residue: Paramentals Rising, which is a sequel to the Netflix show. After learning about his horror history--including a memorable viewing of Night of the Living Dead--we find out why The Haunting terrified him as a twelve year old.
